September National Holidays

Japan is a country with the world’s largest numbers of national holidays. Apart from the New Year’s holiday (most Japanese companies close from around Dec 29 to Jan 3) and the Golden Week (consecutive holidays in the beginning of May), September comes next in regards of holiday numbers. These holidays become a long holiday called Silver week when we have a lucky calendar.. but too bad, unfortunately it did not turn out that way this year.

September National Holidays this year:

Monday, 17 Sep – Respect-for-the-Aged Day

Sunday, 23 Sep – Autumnal Equinox Day

Hoping that you would all enjoy the autumn breeze and the beautiful colored leaves throughout Japan! Let us know if you need any recommendations for domestic destinations 🙂
