How old can a child go solo on an international flight?

Have you ever thought of sending your child/ren abroad only by themselves? There are certain services you can look into – many air carriers have services to help children to get onboard without the help of their guardians.

Japan Airlines:

Children older than 6 years old are applicable for “Kids Support Program”

All Nippon Airways:

Children older than 5 years old are applicable for “ANA Junior Pilot Program”

Both programs above require reservation via phone calls. Guardians are required to check in at the airport counter with their children, and see them off at the baggage inspection. An air carrier employee will take care of the children till they go on board, and another employee will again accompany them once they land to their destination, and hand them to a local guardian.

Let us know if you would like to know more of this! We’ll get back to you will detailed information.
